3. HOSTING OF THE WEBSITE AND DATA
To guarantee full digital sovereignty and rigorous compliance with the Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP), the hosting of the Next.js application, the PostgreSQL database and S3 object storage is provided on servers physically located in Switzerland by:

4. ACTIVITY AND PURPOSE OF THE PLATFORM
Lab2Lab.ch is a brokerage and circular-economy marketplace dedicated to laboratory professionals (research, biotech, hospitals, universities, industry). It provides a technical matchmaking service for the purchase, resale and recovery of laboratory equipment, scientific instruments and spare parts - whether used, refurbished or end-of-line.
5. EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY (DISCLAIMER)
With regard to listings published by third-party sellers (Third-Party Equipment):
- Technical intermediation: LABGENE SCIENTIFIC SA acts solely as a mere technical intermediary and information broker. The final sale contract is concluded directly, by mutual agreement, between the buyer and the third-party seller.
- No warranty on third-party content: The publisher and the technical designer cannot be held liable for the accuracy of the information entered by third-party sellers (specifications, photos, actual condition) or for the validity of the uploaded decontamination certificates.
- Exclusion of technical warranty: Third-party equipment is sold as is. LABGENE SCIENTIFIC SA offers no functional, conformity or safety warranty on direct third-party-to-third-party transactions and excludes any liability arising from any transport or logistical disputes.
6. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY
- Trademark and editorial content: The Lab2Lab trademark, its logo, its graphic charter and its editorial content are the exclusive property of LABGENE SCIENTIFIC SA.
- Architecture and software development: The specific source code, the bespoke development of the application (Next.js / Payload CMS) and the automated taxonomy scripts of the Platform remain protected by the copyright of Mr Clément Lamy (Tandem Labs) or are used under the associated open-source licences.
- Prohibition on scraping: Any automated data extraction (web scraping), reproduction, extraction or reuse of the public catalogue or of the structure of the website without the prior written authorisation of the publisher is strictly prohibited.
