Lab2Lab is a professional B2B marketplace for second-hand laboratory equipment, operated by Labgene Scientific SA (Switzerland, since 1994). Every listing is reviewed before publication. The origin of the equipment is always clear. Pricing is transparent. Sanitary documentation is requested when the equipment requires it.

From submission to delivery
Submit your equipment
Provide brand, model, serial number, year of commissioning, condition, photos and key technical information. The form adapts to the category.
Labgene review
Every listing is checked by the Labgene team before publication. Incomplete or unclear listings are sent back for correction. This is not an open classifieds board.
Publication with clear origin
Once approved, the listing appears with a clear origin: Sold by Labgene (own stock) or Third-party (brokered, sold as is).
Enquiry & introduction
Two commercial models: A - Buy & resell: Labgene purchases then resells (invoice to the buyer). B - Introduction: direct relation between buyer and seller, Labgene invoices its commission.
Logistics
Pickup on site, parcel under 30 kg, pallet delivery, or special handling on quote.

Equipment owned and handled by Labgene Scientific SA. Labgene warranty and quality process.
Third-party
Equipment offered by a laboratory, manufacturer, distributor or other professional. Sold as is. Labgene acts as intermediary.
Sanitary information when it matters
Not every piece of laboratory equipment requires the same level of documentation. Lab2Lab uses a risk-based approach:
Unused / new-old-stock
Declaration that the unit never contacted hazardous substances.
Used - non-hazardous
Declaration that the unit was used without biological, chemical or radioactive exposure.
Used - potentially hazardous
Full decontamination protocol and signed certificate required (typical for centrifuges, PCR systems, incubators, safety cabinets, etc.).
For Labgene's own stock, the internal quality process applies.
For third-party listings, the appropriate declaration is requested before publication when relevant.

Is Lab2Lab a classic classifieds website?+
No. All listings are reviewed by Labgene before publication. The platform is operated as a professional intermediary.
Is a decontamination certificate always required?+
No. It depends on the equipment and its history. Critical equipment that may have been exposed to biological or chemical risk requires proper documentation. Clean instruments, furniture or unused stock follow a lighter declaration.
What is the difference between “Sold by Labgene” and “Third-party”?+
Sold by Labgene means the unit belongs to Labgene and follows its quality process. Third-party means the equipment comes from another professional and is sold as is, with Labgene acting as introducer.
How does the 20% commission work?+
You set the net price you want to receive. The public price is calculated automatically (net + 20% commission, + VAT if applicable).
Who issues the invoice?+
Either Labgene (buy & resell model) or the seller (introduction model), with Labgene invoicing its commission separately.
Where is the data hosted?+
In Switzerland, under the nFADP framework.
